Due to them special stones and the material of the pot who do store alot of heat, it would have been well to hot. And because i wanted that nice Madderred and not drift of into the brownish red, the fire had to be removed.In the moment the whole pot is cooling down and now and again i give it a good stir so that the dye is equaly everywhere. In the picture it looks very much like a orangy red. Pictures will follow ones the cloth is finished.
Nachdem ich es endlich geschaft hatte unter dem Pott Feuer zumachen, konnte ich es nach einer halbe Stunde wieder aus machen. Durch die Schamottsteine und das Material des Kesseleinsatz wird genug Hitze gespeichert und es wäre am Ende zu heiß geworden. Und da ich ein Krapprot und nicht in das Bräunliche abrutschen wollte, mußte das Holz wieder raus. Im Moment kühlt das Ganze langsam runter und ab und an rühre ich den Stoff um. Auf dem Bild sieht es ein bißchen Orangig aus aber das täuscht. Bilder folgen noch von dem fertig gefärbten Stoff.
The cloth has finished its time in the dye and is hanging up for drying, really cant wait to see how it will look like ones its dry, hopefully before the storm starts we are expecting. The pot still holds lots of madderdye and i am still waiting for the postman to deliver me my woolstash.
Der Stoff ist fertig gefärbt und hängt zum Trocknen auf der Leine mal schauen wie er aussieht wenn er dann ganz trocken ist, hoffentlich bevor das Unwetter hier anfängt. Im Pott habe ich noch genügend Krappsuppe so das ich noch Kammzüge ( warte immer noch auf die Post) beizen und färben kann.
And taaaataaaaa thats how he looks dry, unfortunate the camera didnt pick up the nice wow red up.
Und so sieht er trocken aus, leider gibt die Kamera nicht das schöne Rot wieder.
